About Us
The Museum are being operated by volunteers and plans to open in the future, Meanwhile, we are working on gathering funds for the railings of the Well in phase 3 construction.
The hand dug 40 ft deep well with a 13 ft diameter brick casing housed in the pump house provided domestic water for the town of Ault from about 1907 until sometime in the 1950s.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to develop and operate a permanent museum, available to all where rich history of the Ault area is on display to inspire, educated and entertain
The Colorado State Historical Society awarded a grant and approved the final design of the building including, doors and windows, office, utility room and two bathroom in Phase 1 construction.
PHASE 1
Before
This was the previous design of the door. Approved by the CO State Historical Society
After
The door was redesigned and the excavation of the interior was being done.
PHASE 2
Before
This was the look of the interior before it is being leveled for new concrete floor.
After
The Interior flooring was in place and the rooms were added; utility, office & 2 bathroom.
PHASE 3
Now
We are actively accepting donations for railings and cover for the well.
